Although there are ongoing steps to reform marriage laws in England and Wales, currently, celebrants cannot complete the legal registration of a marriage. To legally tick the box, you will need to attend a registry office. This involves a short, simple signing at your local register office, and then your celebrant-led ceremony can take centre stage!

This involves declaring your intent to marry and providing valid ID and proof of residence. 2. Register the Marriage: Book a short legal ceremony at the register office with two witnesses.
