A Hilton in Snowdonia? Yes -you heard that right. 2021 saw the opening of the Hilton Garden Inn Snowdonia, situated in the Conwy Valley next to Adventure Parc Snowdonia. If you are looking for a unique venue in North Wales, where you can feed your thirst for adventure, whilst still having the facilities and service of a modern and vibrant hotel? This might well be the place for you!
Atmosphere, adventure, style, comfort and exemplary service – this place has it all covered! I was lucky enough to visit the hotel, as part of a site visit for my up-and-coming wedding ceremonies, so I thought I would share with you what this amazing venue has to offer.
I was shown around by the lovely Emilee Esposito, who coordinates Weddings and Events at the hotel. As I entered the lobby, I was immediately struck by how modern and fresh the interior was. It had a feeling of light and space, whilst being cool and funky, just as you would expect with a hotel so close to the surf!
Inside, there are no less than 3 event spaces, which can be used for your ceremony. The largest space, the Snowdon, has stunning floor to ceiling windows that showcase the beautiful landscape of the Conwy Valley and the surf lagoon. While many large hotels can boast modern event spaces with picture windows, what makes the Hilton Garden Inn Snowdonia different are the surroundings and the options outside that will make your celebration completely unique.
At the end of the surf lagoon is a fun and atmospheric tipi, which can be used for your ceremony and/ or reception. This can be used for part or all of the wedding festivities and creates a fantastic setting for incorporating a ritual into your ceremony such as handfasting or jumping the broom!
Straddling the surf lagoon is an exhilarating zip wire. So, if you always fancied the thought of zip lining into your outdoor ceremony, this venue will make that happen for you!
Alternatively, you could have your ceremony on the surf lagoon itself, and catch your first wave into married life together! I’m just waiting for a couple to book me for this!
Whether you choose inside or outside for your ceremony, the hotel welcomes dogs so you can bring your pooch with you to share on your special day.
There’s plenty to keep all your guests occupied before and after the wedding too. Those looking for an adrenaline rush can jump on the zip line, have a go at climbing, or surf in the lagoon; while those wanting relaxation can chill out in the hotel’s Wave Garden Spa and watch on from the outdoor plunge pool. Children at your event will be well catered for, with an indoor soft play, ninja assault course and indoor high ropes to keep them occupied.
The venue welcomes celebrant led ceremonies and, just like celebrants, will only book one wedding per day, so you can rest assured you will have dedicated service and privacy.
